How to get to Balaia
Faro Airport
The apartment is about 25 minutes from Faro airport, along the EN185 road, and despite the reputation of Portuguese roads, driving is a safe and pleasurable experience as long as you stay aware of the road around you.
Many first time visitors opt to be picked up by the Balaia service, at a fee of 12 Euros per person, but driving is quite easy.
Hire Car
If applicable, most rental agencies have desks or contact personnel in the airport arrivals hall as you come out of customs.

After about 20 mins, you will see a blue and white sign for Balaia Village along with signs for Sheraton Pine Cliffs (they are close together). Take a left turn on the main road, and follow the new road for 5-7kms, until you come to a roundabout, at which Olhos D’Agua and Sheraton are signposted. Turn left at this junction, and stay on the new road, passing a turning for Sheraton, going through the town of Olhos d’Agua, and passing a Marachino supermarket on your right (green building). About 1 – 2kms further you will see Balaia Village on your right (two storey white apartment blocks). Reception is through the main turning.
